Senior Data Scientist

Digis is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join an early-stage US-based femtech startup focused on hormonal health and personalized insights.

About the Project:

A rapidly growing healthtech product with a mission to improve hormonal health through predictive analytics and user personalization. The app is live, post-MVP, and scaling its data pipeline and infrastructure to support real-time predictions and meaningful health scoring.

  • Country & Time Zone: USA (EST), with flexibility but some overlap required (up to 20:00 Kyiv time)
  • Stage: Active product with users, scaling data systems, and ML-backed features
  • Engagement: Long-term, 20 hours/week
  • Methodology: Agile, lean, async-first with weekly calls and high autonomy

Your Role:

As the first data hire, you’ll own the data function end-to-end — from architecture and pipelines to insights and model development. You’ll work closely with the co-founder and product lead to shape the platform’s personalization engine and build scalable data tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Build hormone cycle prediction models
  • Design and iterate on health scoring systems
  • Create population-level insight dashboards for brand partnerships
  • Build a scalable data infrastructure to support growth
  • Develop personalization algorithms and recommendation logic

Requirements:

  • Python – 5+ years of experience
  • SQL + Data Warehousing (BigQuery mandatory, Redshift/Snowflake optional) - 2+ years of experience
  • GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery) – 1+ years of experience
  • Experience leading data initiatives in an early-stage startup and working independently
  • Have worked with:
    time-series and behavioral data analysis
    anomaly detection, clustering, outlier scoring
pattern recognition, and basic ML models
  • Healthcare / Biotech domain - any experience
  • English level: B2+ (comfortable passing a tech interview)

What Makes This Opportunity Unique:

  • Mission-driven work in the femtech space, backed by Mayo Clinic
  • Access to 67M+ health data points
  • First data hire = real ownership and influence
  • Highly autonomous role with room to grow the data function
  • Direct collaboration with technical founders (Forbes 30u30)

If this sounds interesting, reply with your CV and expected hourly rate in USD (gross). Looking forward to hearing from you!
