Head of Research and Development

At the core of our Commercial Division, the Research & Development (R&D) function operates as a fast-moving experimentation layer. We focus on identifying, validating, and scaling the company’s most promising market and product opportunities — before they become full-fledged strategic bets.

As Head of R&D, you’ll lead this function, working cross-functionally with Product, Games, and Payments teams to run structured experiments based on real operator data. Your work directly influences company growth by ensuring we invest only in initiatives with proven traction.
 

Your tasks:

  • Lead the discovery and validation of new markets and product opportunities that align with the company’s commercial strategy.
  • Own and continuously improve the R&D framework used to prioritize and evaluate new initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Games, Payments, Analytics, Commercial) to define clear success metrics for every test initiative.
  • Design and execute data-driven testing playbooks: from GEO launches and traffic experiments to product feature validation.
  • Ensure pre-launch readiness by coordinating test planning with pilot clients, including checks for payments infrastructure, game content availability, and UX friction.
  • Identify bottlenecks or recurring issues across markets and package findings into actionable, scalable solutions.
  • Analyze test outcomes with the Analytics team and present clear go/no-go recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the handover of validated tests to the Account teams for scaling and ongoing performance management.
     

Our criteria:

  • Proven experience in product or market R&D, go-to-market strategy, or commercial validation roles, ideally in iGaming or high-growth tech sectors.
  • Strong analytical and hypothesis-driven mindset with a track record of experimentation.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous challenges into clear testable opportunities.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with metrics such as Reg2Dep, FTDs, GGR, ARPU, and player funnels.
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in market analysis, A/B testing frameworks, and roadmap planning.
  • Startup or scale-up experience is a strong plus.

Success Metrics:

  • Number of new markets successfully validated and scaled via the R&D process.
  • R&D-attributed FTD growth and impact on company revenue.
  • Average time from ideation to live test launch (execution efficiency).
  • Test success rate (ratio of qualified/passed tests to total executed).
  • Positive feedback from Commercial, Product, and Account teams on process value and transparency.
