QA Automation Engineer

QA Automation Engineer (On-Site – Helsinki, Finland)
📍 Location: Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki
 

We are supporting a global multinational client in the telecommunications industry in the search for a QA Automation Engineer to join a long-term, high-security assignment at their Helsinki office. The role involves working on mission-critical systems and requires full on-site presence as well as clearance from Finnish authorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 3–5 years of experience in test automation, looking to contribute to a project of national importance in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test cases for complex server-side systems.
• Collaborate with development and system testing teams to define test requirements.
• Develop and maintain test scripts using modern automation frameworks.
• Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Contribute to the automation of test environments and continuous testing pipelines.
• Initially focus on familiarizing with system architecture and setting up the QA framework.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in test automation, particularly for Linux and Windows server-based systems.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Jenkins, Selenium, etc.).
• Programming/scripting experience in Python, C#, or C++.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD systems.
• Experience in analyzing logs, debugging, and identifying root causes of test failures.
• Beneficial but not mandatory: exposure to telecom protocol testing or tools such as Wireshark.
