DevOps Specialist – Excel Add-in Modernization

About the project 

We are building and improving a powerful Excel Add-in designed to extend Excel’s capabilities through an enhanced user interface and deeper integration. Our solution currently runs on VSTO with a C# .NET Framework 4.8 backend and a React + TypeScript frontend rendered via WebView2. As we move to professionalize our development and deployment process, we’re looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with C#/.NET experience to support and enhance our delivery pipeline.

Responsibilities

As our DevOps specialist, you will be responsible for:

• CI/CD Pipeline Implementation:
  Set up and maintain automated pipelines using GitHub Actions to handle build, test, and deployment stages.
• Environment Management:
  Define and manage separate environments (Dev / Staging / Production) to support better testing and release workflows.
• Installer Configuration:
  Configure and maintain ClickOnce deployment, including installer signing, automatic updates, and versioning.
• General DevOps Practices:
  Support infrastructure-as-code principles where relevant, optimize build times, and enforce code quality via testing integration.
   

Requirements

• Proven experience with DevOps practices in .NET environments
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with ClickOnce, certificate-based signing, and deployment automation
• Comfortable working with VSTO add-ins and Excel
• Bonus: Experience with WebView2 and React-based frontends
