Expected responsibilities:

• Designing and building scalable data pipelines (batch + streaming)
• Developing data infrastructure to support analytics and ML workflows
• Building secure, scalable APIs for data and model access
• Implementing event-driven architectures (Kafka) and orchestration (Airflow)
• Supporting Data Science and ML teams with platform capabilities
• Ensuring data observability, governance, and system reliability

We are looking for strong, recent hands-on experience (last 2–3 years) with:
Core stack:

• Kafka (streaming)
• Airflow (orchestration)
• SQL + NoSQL databases
• Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• API development

Infrastructure:

• Docker / Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring & observability

Bonus:

• Experience supporting ML pipelines
• Exposure to tools like SageMaker or OpenAI

Seeking a Fractional SVP Engineering for a full-time (40 hrs/week) 6-month contract in a SaaS, data-driven product environment, open to candidates globally with C1 English proficiency. Must be able to work during any US business hours (EST–PST), start ASAP
candidates should typically have:

• Proven experience leading and scaling engineering organizations, including engineering managers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in SaaS product development and software delivery at scale.
• Expertise in data-driven decision-making, engineering metrics, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, CI/CD, reliability, and security.
• Experience partnering closely with Product, Data, Operations, and executive leadership teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile development methodologies and engineering best practices.
• Ability to define and execute engineering strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Experience managing budgets, resource planning, hiring, and organizational growth.
• Track record of leading technology transformations, scaling platforms, and improving engineering processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
