Responds Quickly
We are looking for an experienced, independent, and highly motivated DevOps Engineer with a “get the job done” mindset to take full ownership of our DevOps infrastructure and operations. This is a key role within the tech team, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, with the mission of designing, building, and maintaining the backbone of our production environment — from CI/CD pipelines to cloud infrastructure and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, manage, and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment environments (Staging, Production).
- Lead and optimize CI/CD processes end-to-end.
- Ensure high availability, security, monitoring, and performance of production systems.
- Respond to production incidents and be available during off-hours in case of critical issues.
- Design and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline workflows.
- Select, integrate, and manage DevOps tools and platforms that support scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with development and support teams, serving as the primary DevOps authority within the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience in tech-driven environments.
- Proven experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Solid experience with AWS (required) and Digital Ocean (strongly preferred). Experience with GCP and Azure is a plus.
- Hands-on Linux system administration including bare metal and dedicated servers.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Experience with containerization (Docker required). Kubernetes experience is a plus, but comfort with non-containerized workloads is equally important.
- Experience deploying and managing traditional web applications (LAMP, WordPress, PHP) alongside modern stacks.
- Ability to take ownership of unfamiliar applications and create maintenance and update plans — the role includes responsibility for data pipeline and workflow tools such as AirFlow and Snowflake.
- High-level English — both written and spoken.
- Strong sense of ownership — able to independently manage all aspects of DevOps.
- Ability to communicate technical investments in business terms to non-technical leadership.
Advantages
- Experience managing applications with significant seasonal traffic spikes.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps and security best practices.
- Experience designing DR and High Availability architectures.
- Experience as the first or sole DevOps hire, building processes from scratch.
- Background optimizing existing infrastructure before building new systems.
- Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., AirFlow, Snowflake, or similar).
