Full Stack (Laravel) Developer

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer for the Scanbe.io project. 

You will have the opportunity to work on a project that is in demand and see the results of your work. 

Our service is used by ordinary people to find data about themselves and other people. We only use legitimate and legal data. In four years, we have made more than a million reports and have hundreds of thousands of site visitors per month.

• Convenient schedule. You will have the opportunity to pick up your child from kindergarten/school, visit a doctor or meet the family. You plan a 40-hour weekly schedule as convenient for you.

• A completely remote team. We work remotely from a place that is convenient for us.

   

This position is suitable for a person who wants to be closer to his family, not to waste time on transportation to the workplace and to have a calm planned creative realization. Below we have collected answers to possible questions.

What are you working on:
Our service aggregates data from open sources to make it possible to quickly find the right person in open databases. We process tens of millions of records every day, we work on improving the search technology, data processing speed and the convenience of the service as a whole. So that our users spend a minimum of time searching for the necessary information.

What stage is the project:
The service has been working since 2019. We are profitable. The service is in beta and we are currently expanding the functionality. The team started with small niches that they could satisfy. Over time, Skanbe will cover more mass niches and enter the full-fledged B2C market.

What tech stack is on the project:
- PHP 7.3
- Laravel 5.8 (we are going to update to the latest version)
- MySQL (Percona), Redis, ElasticSearch
- JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, CSS, HTML
- Linux (there is a separate team for server administration)
- Git

What tasks will you have to work on:
We are looking for a Full-Stack developer to work on the site. The project is divided into a site and a parser/search. You will have to work with the site. These are tasks about the frontend and backend of the site.

• New tasks concern redesigning the site (the vast majority of tasks in the near future), improving user experience, and adding new features.

• You won't need to work with the parser and search, these functions will be performed by another person.

   

Examples of tasks: a new search results page, implementing recurring payments on the site, and implementing subscriptions to changes.

Who would we like to find:
We have a small team in which everyone works independently. We expect that the specialist will work autonomously, so the position is more suitable for a middle developer. Project specifics are a lot of data, so experience with high-load projects would be a plus. We are supporters of balanced planning, so we plan our work without overtime. We have half-yearly, monthly and sprint plans. You will see a list of tasks for six months to a year. We plan to continue to be a compact team. But over the last year, the number of tasks has increased significantly, so we need the help of a developer.
