Automation QA Engineer

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join iSpeedToLead - a fast-growing real estate investment marketplace and help elevate the quality of our high-load, AI-powered platform. You’ll collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, and AI teams to build and maintain scalable, reliable automated testing systems that support thousands of property transactions across the U.S. each month.

If you’re a hands-on QA specialist with strong experience in TypeScript-based test automation, using Playwright, we want to hear from you.

Requirements:

Must‑have:

  • 4+ years in QA/testing, including at least 3 years in test automation focused on web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, test framework development, Page Object Model, utilities, and clean coding practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for web and API automation.
  • Solid grasp of HTML semantics and accessibility—able to identify misuse of elements (e.g., label vs. button).
  • Experience designing and executing RESTful API tests, including schema validation and negative scenarios.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB for test data management and optional validation workflows.
  • Proven experience creating and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket + GitHub Actions).
  • Proficient in Git source control and conducting peer code reviews.
  • Ability to debug flaky tests, environmental issues, and automation failures.
  • Experience with cross-browser and mobile-emulated testing on Chromium and WebKit.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
  • Agile mentality: adaptable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice‑to‑have:

  • Familiarity with Sentry (or similar) for debugging test and application issues.
  • Interest or hands‑on experience with AI-assisted testing tools—with a proactive approach to monitor, evaluate, and propose integrations.
  • Experience in metrics collection, test coverage analysis, and reporting across CI/CD and TestRail

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable automated tests for web UI (Desktop Chrome, Safari/WebKit) and mobile emulation (Mobile Chrome and Safari/WebKit) using Playwright + TypeScript.
  • Develop API test suites to validate core business workflows and component interactions.
  • (Future phase) Implement targeted MongoDB data validation tests to ensure integrity and business correctness, after UI and API automation stabilizes.
  • Architect and evolve the automation framework: enforce clean code, modularity, test data management, and Page Object Model principles.
  • Author and maintain CI/CD pipelines (initially on Bitbucket Pipelines, with planned migration to GitHub Actions).
  • Integrate and enhance TestRail automation, ensuring test run analysis, coverage insight, and traceability to requirements.
  • Investigate test failures using Sentry logs and collaborate with developers for issue resolution.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the landscape of AI-assisted testing tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.); pilot and integrate solutions that add real value for test generation, data creation, failure analysis, or health metrics.
  • Mentor and collaborate: share best practices in test design, automation, observability, and code craftsmanship with peers.
