Senior Fullstack Developer (Node.js + React) Backend-Focused

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Fullstack Tech Lead (Node.js / React)Backend-Focused to join our team on a part-time basis. This role combines hands-on development, team leadership, and strategic input across multiple projects. You’ll be responsible for technical direction, mentoring developers, supporting ongoing projects, and occasionally conducting technical interviews. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical development of web applications with a strong focus on backend architecture using Node.js and TypeScript
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance server-side solutions
• Work with backend frameworks like NestJS or Express, building RESTful APIs and integrating with databases
• Manage and optimize data storage using both relational and NoSQL databases
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure code quality across the team
• Support and contribute to existing projects where needed (primarily backend, with occasional frontend involvement)
• Conduct technical interviews and evaluate candidates’ backend and architectural skills
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Mentor junior developers and help guide them through technical challenges
• Participate in planning sessions, provide technical insights, and deliver realistic time estimates

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in fullstack development, with a strong emphasis on backend systems (Node.js + React)
• Proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with NestJS, Express, or similar backend frameworks
• Strong experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Solid understanding of system architecture, scalability, and design patterns
• Proven experience leading small teams or mentoring developers
• Prior involvement in technical interviews or developer evaluation processes
• Comfortable communicating with clients and stakeholders in English (spoken and written)
• Ability to manage time effectively in a remote, part-time environment
