Project Description:

We are developing a cross-platform (iOS and Android) application designed to streamline and consolidate every aspect of a musician’s workflow into a single, intuitive platform. The application serves as a MusicXML viewer, editor, and annotator, enabling musicians to effortlessly transition to digital technology.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React Native
• 5+ years of overall professional programming experience
• 2+ years of playing a musical instrument using sheet music, or the ability to clearly demonstrate knowledge of music notation during an interview
• Proficiency in rendering and data processing
• Experience with native mobile code optimizations for performance efficiency
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and AWS
• Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Ability to work independently and within a team in an agile development environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
• Conversational English skills for effective communication

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize core features of the MusicXML viewer, editor, and annotator
• Work on real-time rendering of musical scores and user modifications
• Implement high-performance data processing for seamless playback and editing
• Optimize app performance, ensuring a smooth user experience across different devices
• Maintain code quality, ensure best practices, and contribute to architectural decisions
