Tech Lead (Fullstack WordPress) Offline

We're looking for a Tech Lead to take charge of technical execution and team management for our fast-growing Marketplace-SaaS platform built on WordPress and modern development practices. You’ll work alongside a senior engineering team, build and scale a highly modular product used by top clients in, USA, Europe and the Middle East.
 

📌 Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 3–4 developers: hiring, onboarding, daily supervision, code quality.
  • Organize and maintain development infrastructure and tech documentation: JIRA workflows, Git branching, deployment pipeline, and documentation standards.
  • Participate in product planning and sprint organization together with the CEO.
  • Ensure technical consistency across backend (PHP/WordPress) and frontend (React/Next.js) components.
  • Contribute directly to core product development: database architecture, APIs, plugin functionality, and performance optimization.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable code using AI-assisted coding tools: Cursor, Claude, Copilot.
  • Lead code reviews, implement clean code principles, and ensure adherence to delivery deadlines.
  • Deeply understand the platform logic (4 user roles, 30+ calculators, custom workflows) and help scale it.
     

🧠 Requirements

  • 5+ years of fullstack experience (PHP, WordPress, JS frameworks).
  • Proven experience leading development teams and managing release pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress internals (hooks, APIs, security, custom plugins).
  • Familiarity with Yii2 or Laravel for backend integrations.
  • Hands-on with React.js / Next.js.
  • Proficient in Git, SSH (Termius), PhpStorm, MySQL, REST APIs.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Bonus: Experience with marketplaces or SaaS architecture.
