Now VMK GROUP is actively developing, we are creating additional jobs, so we are looking for Tech Lead Shopify for full-time.

Project description:
We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead to own the development and delivery of a premium Shopify OS 2.0 storefront. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end custom theme development, advanced e-commerce feature integration, and performance optimization to deliver a world-class online shopping experience. This role involves technical decision-making, architecture planning, and mentoring to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Project Manager and CEO to perform technical scope estimation of the project.
• Provide architecture recommendations, advising on custom theme development versus app-based or headless storefront approaches.
• Participate actively in defining the theme and codebase structure to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Make key technical decisions related to integrations, SEO strategies, checkout flows, and performance optimization.
• Lead the development, testing, and deployment of custom Shopify OS 2.0 themes based on detailed UI/UX designs.
• Implement advanced e-commerce features such as product filtering, bundles, upsells, sticky carts, quick view, and wishlist.
• Integrate multi-currency and multi-language support, payment gateways, and marketing pixels.
• Optimize the storefront for speed, SEO, and mobile-first user experience.
• Optionally enable Progressive Web App (PWA) features or headless storefronts using the Hydrogen framework.
• Manage cross-browser and cross-device testing, staging, deployment, and documentation.
• Define clear technical requirements for the team, conduct thorough code reviews, and provide mentorship to ensure high-quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, product owners, and marketing teams to ensure alignment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following Shopify best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure a seamless customer experience.
   

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify theme development, especially Shopify OS 2.0.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with Shopify APIs.
• Experience with React and/or Hydrogen framework is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects, make architectural decisions, and own delivery end-to-end.
• Solid understanding of multi-currency, multi-language, payment gateway integrations, and SEO best practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and mentor other developers.
