Junior Strong/Middle Python Developer (UK project)

Newsoft is looking for a Junior Strong/Middle Python Developer to join a UK-based healthtech project that harnesses AI to transform raw health data from trackers and wearables into personalized insights. You’ll work with a modern backend stack (FastAPI, AWS, OpenAI API) and contribute to the development of new features and the expansion of existing ones. The product is in active development with a growing team and direct communication with the English-speaking client.

Requirements
- 1+ year of commercial software development experience
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Experience with FastAPI and SQLAlchemy
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and OAuth
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows
- Understanding of software design principles (e.g., SOLID)
- Experience or basic knowledge of AWS services (especially Cognito, Lambda, ECS, RDS)
- Upper-intermediate level of English

Nice to Have
- Experience with Docker
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, React)
- Experience working with AI APIs like OpenAI
