📌 Role Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator focusing on database management to join our DevOps team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in managing and optimizing various database systems and data processing software.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage and optimize databases and data processing software, including Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Ignite, Redis, Kafka, ElasticSearch, ClickHouse, and Spark.
- Implement performance tuning to ensure high database efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and manage data replication and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and high availability.
- Ensure the security of all database software and implement measures for data protection.
- Regularly update and maintain the hosts where the database and related software run.
- Work closely with the development team to integrate database services with our applications.
- Monitor database performance, conduct regular testing and maintenance, and provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure seamless integration of database services with the company’s infrastructure.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our database infrastructure.
🧠 To Achieve Results, You’ll Need:
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in the listed databases and data processing software.
- Strong knowledge of database configuration, performance tuning, data replication, and reliability configuration.
- Proficient in scripting and programming languages, specifically Bash, Python, and Ansible, for automation purposes.
- Solid experience with Ubuntu Linux administration, including managing and updating AWS hosts where storage software is deployed.
- Experience with cloud services and modern DevOps practices is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Intermediate English level.
