On-Chain Data Analyst and Researcher to $17000 Offline

The Defiant is hunting for a crypto-native data sleuth. We don’t just report numbers—we expose hidden trends, track smart money, and decode the stories buried in blockchain data. If you live on Etherscan, obsess over Dune dashboards, and spot exploits before they trend, this is your role.

You’re our ideal candidate if:

Your "research" starts with on-chain forensics – You track whale wallets, dissect MEV bots, and map out governance attacks before they happen.
You speak SQL, Python, and "degen" fluently – Whether it’s parsing flash loan attacks or graphing LSDfi adoption, you turn raw data into actionable insights.
You’ve got alpha leaks in your veins – You monitor Arkham, Nansen, and Telegram scraping tools to surface narratives early (e.g., "Why is this wallet dumping 50K $MKR?").
You’re a Web3 power user – No "theoretical" analysts. You stake, bridge, LP, and probably have a MetaMask hot wallet for "research purposes."

What you’ll do:

🔍 Investigate the chain – Uncover hacks, airdrop farmers, and protocol risks before they hit headlines.
📊 Build dashboards – Create real-time trackers for The Defiant’s audience (e.g., "Stablecoin Wars" or "CEX Reserve Collapse Watch").
💡 Fuel our journalism – Provide data-driven hooks for stories (e.g., "This obscure L2 just flipped Arbitrum in TVL—here’s why").
🛠️ Tool up – Whether it’s tweaking a subgraph or writing custom scripts to track NFT wash trading, you automate the grind.

Non-negotiable requirements:

🔒 Proof of your on-chain life – Share your:

  • Wallet addresses (show us your DeFi/NFT activity).
  • Dune/GitHub (or similar with past work).
  • Public threads/articles analyzing data (if any).
(Note: No "I took a Coursera class on blockchain" applicants. We need doers.)

Compensation: Competitive salary (USD or crypto). Potential to earn bonuses for breaking major stories.

Apply with:

  1. A 1-paragraph summary of the most interesting on-chain trend you’re watching right now.
  2. Links to your work/data proofs.
