Senior QA Automation (Playwright)

Team in UA is looking for an experienced and highly talented Senior QA Automation Engineer (Playwright)  to join the ambitious team developing a new-of-a-kind commodity trading platform

 

About the project: 

We are transforming global commerce by building a trusted, secure, and reliable marketplace that connects suppliers and buyers, increasing revenue and reach for suppliers and driving costs down for buyers. Our founding team comprises technologists who have previously built and sold three tech businesses and commodity industry veterans. 

 

Your Role: As the Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will:

  • Own and drive quality across the entire product suite and multiple deployment environments, ensuring excellence from development through release.
  • Lead testing efforts throughout the release cycle, championing best practices in test strategy, execution, and reporting.
  • Utilize a wide range of testing methodologies—including functional, integration, and regression testing—to meet daily quality assurance needs and maintain product stability.
  • Maintain and evolve the automated test suite and test plans in alignment with newly introduced features and enhancements.
  • Be an integral part of the Scrum team, actively participating in all agile ceremonies and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure product quality is embedded in every stage of development.

Requirements: We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Product mindset: Your focus is on delivering a great product that adds value to users. You understand and enjoy the unique challenges of making business and technology tradeoffs. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of JavaScript and Playwright.
  • Proven Expertise: 5+ years of commercial software development experience, primarily as a QA Engineer.
  • Leveraging AI: You understand and have experienced the great benefits of using AI to help you be more productive. 
  • Educational Background: A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Leadership & Communication: A collaborative team player with leadership skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Self-Organization: Ability to estimate work, commit to deadlines, and deliver high-quality code.
  • Adaptability: Ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Value-Added Qualifications:

  • Cybersecurity training and certifications.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Services (GCP) and Terraform.
