QA Lead (with Network TCP/IP skills)

Our client is a leading global Financial market data provider who runs a number of change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in an environment that is very engaging.

We are looking for a QA Lead with experience in testing backend systems and services running under Linux, with capabilities to collaborate in a team-focused environment and coordinate work with BA, Dev, Operational, and cross-functional application teams.

• Responsibilities:

  We are looking for a hands-on QA Lead who has proven experience of leading test activities from several teams, responding to technical questions and putting in strong quality assurance practices across SDLC. You will be primarily responsible for:
  • Setting quality related processes and best practices across all teams
  • Defining the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
  • Participating in the appropriate planning and management of the test resources
  • Defining standards in testing reports, quality gates
  • Be the driver for test automation adoption and CI/CD implementation

• Mandatory Skills Description:

  • 7+ years of technical background as professional QA
  • Own QA activities incl. manual, and performance testing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with and coach cross-functional / distributed teams
  • Knowledge of C++ and scripting languages Python, Unix, Shell
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP & UDP Multicast fundamentals and solving problems
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Not afraid to say no if quality isn't at the right level.
  • Not afraid to suggest and implement new ways of working

• Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

  • ISTQB
  • Working in Financial projects is an advantage, nice to have knowledge in Fixed income
  • Knowledge of Market Data
