Desktop Automation Engineer

Job Description:
As a Desktop Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests for our desktop applications. You will collaborate closely with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and improve test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and execute automated test scripts using TestComplete for desktop applications.
• Collaborate with developers and quality assurance teams to integrate automated testing seamlessly into the development process.
• Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test scripts to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Analyze test results and collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address software defects.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional specifications.

Requirements:

• Proven experience 2 years in desktop application testing and automation using TestComplete.
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, VBScript, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities in a team environment.

   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with other automation tools such as Selenium or Ranorex.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing concepts.
• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
