Backend Developer (Django / Python, Equity-Only) – AI Coaching App

 

We’re building Glossy — an AI-powered life coach that helps people reduce anxiety, overcome procrastination, and build positive habits.

The MVP is live, early traction is strong, and we’ve already caught the attention of Bcombinator, one of Europe’s top startup accelerators.

 

We’re now assembling a lean, smart, mission-driven founding team — and we’re looking for a backend engineer to own our infrastructure and logic.

 

Who We’re Looking For

 

A self-directed Python Backend developer who wants to join an early-stage startup with a clear vision and big potential.

 

Requirements

 

  • Strong experience with Fast API and microservices architecture
  • Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar databases
  • Experience with Kafka
  • Experience with API design, authentication, and deployment
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a startup setting
  • English – intermediate+ (enough to communicate and collaborate)

 

Bonus Points

 

  • Experience of creating CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience of creating AWS infrastructure
  • Experience with Django/Django REST FrameworkExperience with AI APIs, OpenAI, or Gemini
  • Familiarity with Firebase or mobile backend needs
  • Background in early-stage products or fast iterations
