Head/Lead of Human Resources Offline
Role Overview
We seek a forward-thinking Head of Human Resources to lead and evolve the company’s HR function during a pivotal growth phase. This role requires a strategic leader who can design scalable people operations, foster a high-performance culture, and align HR initiatives with business goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in HR governance, performance enablement, talent acquisition, and organizational development, particularly within fast-paced, regulated industries like FinTech.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Governance & Infrastructure
- Design, standardize, and implement HR policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
- Establish a scalable HR structure that clarifies roles, decision-making accountability, and internal workflows to support growth.
- Drive adoption of HR technology (e.g., CRM, ATS) to streamline operations and enable data-driven people decisions.
- Track and interpret key HR metrics (e.g., retention, engagement, turnover) to identify trends and proactively address challenges.
- Foster a high-achievement culture by championing internal mobility, succession planning, and performance-based career growth.
2. Performance Management & Development
- Lead the development of a modern, transparent performance management framework based on continuous feedback, clear goal-setting, and measurable outcomes.
- Enable and coach managers to conduct effective performance reviews, set RoadMap goals, and handle performance gaps constructively.
- Assess system impact regularly and iterate based on employee and manager feedback to ensure it drives business value and talent growth.
3. Culture & Internal Engagement
- Champion the company’s values of clarity and diligence by embedding them into HR programs, employee communications, and daily operations.
- Drive cultural initiatives such as training on red-flag behaviors, recognition platforms (e.g., top performer dashboards), and transparent internal communications.
- Lead internal and external employer brand reputation efforts, fully owning the company’s people narrative across platforms and channels.
4. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Define and implement a strategic talent acquisition approach that supports growth in regulated FinTech functions.
- Build and manage talent pipelines for critical and specialized roles (e.g., Compliance, AML, Onboarding, MLRO).
- Optimize recruitment processes to improve time-to-hire, candidate experience, and hiring quality across key markets.
- Manage and evaluate external recruitment partners, ensuring alignment with hiring goals and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead onboarding and integration strategies that reinforce engagement from day one.
5. Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Lead and mentor the HR team, setting clear priorities and fostering a collaborative, outcomes-oriented culture.
- Partner with executive leadership to align people strategy with business goals and support decision-making with strategic HR insights.
- Stay informed on global employment trends, legal compliance, and HR best practices across jurisdictions, including the UK, Canada, and Malta.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a senior or leadership HR role. Experience in FinTech or other highly regulated industries is a strong advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Proven expertise in HR governance, performance management, organizational design, and recruitment strategy.
- Strong familiarity with international HR compliance requirements (especially in the UK, Malta, and Canada).
- Technologically proficient with CRM/ATS platforms and HR data analytics tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and strategic problem-solving abilities.
