We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Software Engineer with a passion for developing dashboards and a knack for understanding complex systems. You’ll bring a great value to the product by creating Engineering metrics, support metrics and quality metrics within the Tableau dashboard/widgets. 

We need someone with strong analytical skills, who learns new technologies quickly and thrives in a fast-moving, startup-style environment. You’ll focus on enhancing existing widgets and metrics, we need someone who can improve upon the existing metrics by talking to cross-product team owners and building a robust metrics dashboard.

Requirements:

- 4–6 years of experience in Dashboard/Widgets development, preferably with Tableau;
- Database expertise with Azure DB, Databricks, SQL and with Jira backend; 

- Expertise in creating, altering, Tables, Views along with configurations for better performance;

- Good understanding of Jira workflows, backend and Jira APIs;

- Scripting knowledge in any language - like Python, Java, Shell etc., 

- Good knowledge in areas like Operating Systems, Networking and Databases;

- Ability to operate with limited specs and still deliver high-impact results.

Will be a plus:

- Knowledge in one or more programming languages (Python, Java);

- Experience working in security-focused or infrastructure-centric environments;

- Knowledge on working with AWS EC2, VMs, Physical Hardware;

- Comfort working across time zones and independently managing priorities.

Responsibilities:

- Own and develop Tableau widgets, metrics and dashboard with a backend integration with databricks and Jira;

- Design, create and maintain widgets to capture critical metrics which are useful for the release process and capturing the external and internal defects metric;

- Collaborate closely with product owners/teams to ensure all the required metrics are widgets are well defined and maintained;

- Work hands-on in environments such as Azure Database, Databricks, Jira integration, very good understanding of tables, views along with configurations;

- Take continuous feedback on metrics, dashboards to identify any gaps and improve on the process.
