Junior Linux Monitoring and Support Engineer Offline
We're expanding our technical operations team and looking for a Junior Linux Monitoring & Support Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with NOC or technical support experience who’s comfortable in Linux environments and looking to grow into DevOps engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor servers, services, and key infrastructure metrics.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents (network, Linux services, performance issues).
- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using basic Bash scripting.
- Provide support for infrastructure-related issues reported by internal teams.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on tooling and documentation.
- Help coordinate NOC coverage, including alert handling, shift scheduling, and incident escalation.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role (e.g., NOC Engineer, Technical Support, Monitoring Specialist).
- Solid knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu, RedHat).
- Understanding of network troubleshooting and tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, netstat).
- Basic scripting ability with Bash.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, or similar).
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
A drive to continuously improve systems and prevent recurring issues.
