Data Projects Program Manager

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Data Projects Program Manager to lead the delivery of our outsourced data projects. This is a key role where you’ll drive project success from start to finish, working closely with both our internal teams and external partners. You’ll be responsible for making sure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and up to our high standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage several outsourced (managed delivery type) data projects at once, ensuring successful delivery
• Own project end-to-end: project initiation and planning, define and control scope, timeline, team, budget, quality, communication, risks.
• Build strong relationships with external vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and setting clear expectations
• Act as the main point of contact between clients, internal stakeholders, and external teams
• Identify risks early and put mitigative or avoidance solutions in place to keep projects on track
• Oversee quality control and make sure all deliverables meet industry standards, along with client needs and expectations
• Handle resource management of both full- and part-time talents allocated to the project, merge lean utilization with comprehensive competence on the project for success
• Report on project status, milestones, and results to senior leadership
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes for data vertical
• Contribute to the development of Data Practice within Proxet
• Mentor and support junior project managers and team members
  
  
   

Skills and talents:

Required:

• Technical background in data engineering
• 5+ years of experience managing large-scale data or analytics projects, including outsourced or vendor-led work
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and clients
• Solid understanding of data management, analytics, or data engineering
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving delivery environment.

Nice to have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, etc.)
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification

Measuring of success:

• Success in this role will be measured by on-time delivery, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Participation in pre-sales and efficient conversion
• Actinable lessons learned and post-mortem that will boost data competence development in the company
• In addition to the project and client success criteria, variable pay will be defined by Recurring revenue retention, Contribution margin, Company Initiatives participation.
