We are assembling a cross‑functional team for a long‑term e‑commerce client that is moving from a classic Liquid storefront to a Hydrogen / Remix headless stack deployed on Cloudflare Workers (Nitro ISR).

You will own the end‑to‑end development of a blazing‑fast, personalization‑ready storefront that serves shoppers on three continents.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain headless Shopify storefronts with Hydrogen 3 / Remix (or Next.js Commerce) and the Storefront API.
• Integrate third‑party services — loyalty, subscriptions, ERP/OMS, headless CMS (Sanity / Contentful).
• Optimise Core Web Vitals (TTFB ≈ 150 ms, LCP < 2.0 s) via edge caching (Workers KV/R2) and code‑split bundles.
• Implement automated CI/CD, unit & E2E tests, performance budgets, observability dashboards.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, collaborate daily with UI/UX, DevOps and Data teams.

• Analyse new Shopify releases (Functions, Checkout Extensibility) and propose incremental improvements.

   

Requirements

• 3 + years professional experience with Shopify theme or app development.
• 1 + year hands‑on with headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Remix, Next.js Commerce or Vue Storefront 2).
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript and React 18 skills; good understanding of SSR/ISR patterns.
• Confident with GraphQL & REST APIs, schema design, webhooks.
• Proven track record of performance optimisation and Core Web Vitals tuning.
• Git, pull‑request workflow, CI pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab or similar).

• Upper‑intermediate English (B2+) — daily communication with an international client.

   

Nice‑to‑have

• Cloudflare Workers / Vercel Edge Functions; Nitro caching layer.
• Experience with A/B‑testing frameworks (Statsig, Optimizely) or analytics (GA4, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, Lambda, CloudFront), Docker, Terraform.
• SEO fundamentals for headless commerce.

• Contribution to open‑source or Shopify app marketplace.
