Intro
A results-driven and detail-oriented Senior Logistics and Procurement Engineer with proven expertise in supply chain optimization, procurement strategy, and logistics management across complex industrial or engineering environments. Brings a strong engineering background combined with deep knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, cost control, and international shipping regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for technical and non-technical goods and services, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Optimize logistics and transportation processes to minimize delays, reduce costs, and support operational continuity.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation to build strategic partnerships and mitigate supply risks. Lead the first article inspection processes end-to-end and ensure the successful introduction to thegeneral availability versions of hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, operations) to forecast demand and align procurement with project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
- Develop and implement KPIs to monitor procurement and logistics performance, using data to drive continuous improvement.
Control end-to-end finished goods and raw materials in the logistics center inventory through the ERP system, by confirming day-to-day and periodic audits.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field
- Technical background in in Mechanical Engineering β preferred
- Technical background in Industrial Engineering β preferred
- Certification in Procurement or Logistics (e.g., CIPS, CSCP, APICS) β preferred
- PMP certification β a plus for project-based roles is advantage
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) knowledge
Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Professional Background
- At least 1 year experience in strategic sourcing & contract negotiation
- At least 3 year experience in supply chain and risk management
- At least 1 year experience in Inventory & warehouse optimization
- At lease 3 years in Global logistics coordination
- Cost reduction initiatives and project management
At leas 2 year experience in Technical procurement (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) and vendor qualification and auditing
