Database Administrator (AWS) to $6000

Requirements:

• At least  2 years of experience in database design and administration, with a strong emphasis on cloud environments.
• Practical expertise with AWS services, including RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB, Elasticache, and DocumentDB (MongoDB).
• Extensive hands-on experience in managing and administering PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Strong ability to enhance database performance and assess DDL/DML processes.
• In-depth knowledge of data security, integrity, backup, and disaster recovery methodologies.
• Previous work with DBA monitoring tools, data quality frameworks, and third-party database management solutions.
• Proficiency in Linux, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Availability for on-call rotations and resolution of critical operational incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
• Implement CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Ensure data security, backups, and disaster recovery protocols.
• Monitor database performance, logs, and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain database documentation and collaborate on system improvements.
• Work with AWS or other cloud platforms for hosting and scaling databases efficiently.
