Job Description:

Jabil is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data management and analytics solutions within our Governed Data Platform. As part of a forward-thinking data team, you'll work with cutting-edge cloud technologies to create scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented problem solver with a passion for learning and a strong adherence to data engineering best practices and standards. You’ll be instrumental in helping Jabil leverage data to drive better business decisions, optimize operations, and foster innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines and solutions in the cloud.
• Work with large-scale data lakes (AWS S3) and orchestrate workflows using AWS Glue, MWAA, EventBridge, Lambda, and related services.
• Build data transformation jobs using Glue with Python and Spark.
• Implement secure, governed data architecture using AWS Lake Formation and Athena.
• Integrate various AWS messaging services such as SNS and SQS into data workflows.
• Use DevOps and Git for version control, CI/CD, and environment management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Perform shell scripting and automation in Linux environments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data engineering tools and cloud architecture.
• Proficient in Python, Spark, and ETL frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
• Familiarity with Linux shell scripting and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player with a balance of adaptability, innovation, and discipline in solution delivery.
