Junior SQL Developer

We are looking for Junior SQL Developer with willingness to travel to Germany

Employment Details

  • Type: Full-time, remote
  • Languages: German (at least B2, mandatory), English
  • Location: Remote, with regular workshop trips to Hamburg (2–4 weeks per interval)


Your Profile

  • Very good to excellent command of German (minimum B2 level, mandatory)
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including integration with external systems and SharePoint
  • Experience with or interest in MS Power BI is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to Hamburg for workshop phases lasting several weeks
  • Ability to derive technical solutions from non-technical requirements
  • Structured, independent, and analytical way of working
  • Strong communication and advisory skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team

 

Technical Requirements

  • SQL / MS SQL Server Management Studio
  • Structure building and database modeling
  • Creating queries, stored procedures, triggers
  • Monitoring and error analysis
  • SSIS with Visual Studio (including Cozy Rc components)
  • Designing ETL processes
  • Connection via API, web services, SOAP

Office 365 & VBA

  • Access: Create, maintain, and expand applications
  • Excel: Automate data handling, macros, Power Query, Pivot

General

  • Strong analytical skills

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with Databricks

Role & Responsibilities

  • Participation in customer workshops in Hamburg to gather and define requirements
  • Direct communication with specialist departments, even when they lack technical expertise
  • Implementation of requirements after the workshop phase
  • Development, optimization, and maintenance of MS SQL databases
  • Ensuring integration of external systems and SharePoint
  • Collaboration on future system extensions (e.g. Power BI, Databricks)

📝 Important to Know

After signing the contract, both developers will travel to Germany for an initial orientation phase of approximately 4 weeks to thoroughly understand the customer system.
Subsequent workshop intervals will be scheduled based on the project needs.
The goal is a long-term collaboration with regular on-site involvement.
