Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS, Security, CI/CD)

US Company is searching for Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer for a team of 3-4 developers and 4-5 data maintenance specialists. Interesting project (2-3 months with an option of prolongation), preferably full-time, but this is negotiable. Flexible schedule with mandatory overlapping 8am-11am CST for communications. Remote.

 

BRIEF PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Developing existing set of BI products dedicated for building and constructions industry and performed Job & Cash Forecasting, Financial Reporting, Data Warehousing.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Improving existing AWS infrastructure, including security aspects.
  • Assisting developers with usage of some particular AWS services, like Lambda, SQS, SNS etc.
  • Improving performance of existing queries in MS SQL.
  • Improving existing / developing new CI/CD in TeamCity.
  • Document technical knowledge in Wiki.

 

REQUIRED HARD SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of AWS experience:
    • EC2
    • IPA gateways
    • Lambda
    • SQS
    • SNS
  • 7+ years in IT maintenance, including:
    • Virtual Machines
    • Windows DNS
  • 5+ years of experience in security, including but not limited to:
    • Firewalls
    • VPNs
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL
  • 3+ years of experience with building and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Upper-intermediate (or higher) English

 

REQUIRED SOFT SKILLS:

  • Attention to detail. Have an eye for both miniscule details as well as the big picture.
  • Proactive.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven time management, organizational and follow-up skills to meet deadlines.
  • Abilities to effectively work and collaborate with remote colleagues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

 

WILL BE CONSIDERED AS A PLUS:

  • Ability to work 40 hours /week

 

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Distributed team: REMOTE work.
  • Kanban, small team.
  • Preferable full-time (40 hours per week), but minimum part-time is 20 hours per week.
  • Schedule is partially adopted to CST (overlapping 8am-11am CST)
  • Official contract: salary, paid holidays. Paid vacations sick-leave days in case of successful contract prolongation (for 1 year) after 2-3 months period.
