Design Engineer

 Become Subbly’s independent UX magician.

We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer with a strong design instinct — someone who codes pixel-perfect interfaces and designs them, too.

You won’t just follow wireframes — you’ll create them, owning the full UX/UI journey for our subscription-first commerce platform. Your mission: make Subbly the most enjoyable e-commerce platform to use, no external designer required.

What you’ll do

• Design and build beautiful, user-friendly experiences from scratch
• Own end-to-end UX/UI, including research, prototyping, and delivery 
• Simplify complex features and user journeys 
• Implement modern, clean, and efficient front-end code 
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and pixel perfection 
• Work closely with Product manager and CEO 
• Continuously improve usability based on data and user feedback
  
   

What you need

• 4+ years frontend experience: JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue.js (Vue 3 preferred) 
• Expert-level CSS, SASS, and HTML skills 
• Proven ability to ship products independently (design + code)
• Experience with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack)
• Strong understanding of mobile optimization and cross-browser testing 
• Fluent English and great communication skills 
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset 

Nice to have

• Experience designing for e-commerce software 
• Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter) 
• Experience running usability studies and user research
• Hands-on HTML/CSS/Vue.js for design prototyping
• Copywriting skills for UX writing
• Tasteful eye for design and micro-interactions
