We are hiring an N8N Workflow Automation Developer to work with a AMS AI (https://www.amshealth.ai/), a healthtech startup streamlining operational workflows in healthcare environments. 

About the Role

AI Workflow Automation Engineer (n8n Expert)

AMS AI is seeking a proactive and highly skilled AI Workflow Automation Engineer with deep expertise in n8n to help design, build, and optimize our AI-driven healthcare supply chain automation platform. You’ll play a central role in operationalizing intelligent workflows that integrate data, systems, and AI agents—turning complex healthcare processes into seamless, automated solutions.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who thrives on solving real-world problems and building systems that make a tangible impact on hospitals and patients nationwide.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable workflow automations using n8n and integrate with third-party APIs, databases, and internal services.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI engineers to operationalize AI agents and LLMs into real-time automation pipelines.
• Develop robust, maintainable automation frameworks that improve supply chain visibility and operational efficiency.
• Drive automation initiatives across multiple hospital systems, working closely with stakeholders to define requirements and optimize performance.
• Build connectors, triggers, and custom n8n nodes for specialized use cases in healthcare logistics.
• Ensure workflows are monitored, error-tolerant, and easy to maintain.
• Contribute to architecture and infrastructure decisions around automation scalability and security.

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of experience building complex workflow automations using tools like n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar platforms (n8n preferred).
• Solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience writing custom code to extend workflow functionality.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or Azure, RESTful APIs, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Comfortable working in a startup environment: self-driven, adaptable, and execution-oriented.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of automation patterns, integrations, and debugging complex workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.

Key Skills:

• n8n experience - required
• Prompting — optimizing LLM queries for performance and relevance
• API integrations — designing, connecting, and troubleshooting

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (JS, TS, Python)

   

Bonus Points For:

• Direct experience with n8n in production at scale.
• Prior work in healthcare, supply chain, or enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with AI/LLMs, API orchestration for AI agents, or workflow-based deployment of AI tasks.
• Experience building internal tools or low-code automation solutions.
