Middle+ PHP Backend Developer (Yii2 / Laravel)
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Middle+ PHP Backend Developer to join our team on an hourly rate basis. You’ll work on exciting and meaningful products used by thousands of users - from a restaurant platform with digital menus and order systems to a mobile quest app with over 100,000 active monthly users.
This is a long-term position with plenty of engaging tasks and opportunities to grow. You’ll need to be comfortable switching between projects and dealing with legacy code - don’t worry, we aim to migrate and modernize where we can.

What you’ll be doing:
🔧 Developing new features for existing platforms and products.
🛠️ Maintaining and supporting legacy codebases with a view toward gradual improvement and modernization.
📦 Working across multiple projects, collaborating with different teams and tech stacks (Yii2, Laravel, Symfony).
🔄 Adapting quickly between project needs and priorities while keeping quality high.

Requirements:
🛠️ Solid experience with PHP (Laravel or Yii2) in production environments.
🐳 Docker for local development and deployment.
🌐 Basic understanding of JavaScript (vanilla or framework-based).
🧠 Strong understanding of backend principles and database-driven applications.
🔄 Willingness to work with legacy code and contribute to its refactoring and improvement.
📈 Comfortable switching between projects and balancing priorities.

Nice to have:
🎯 Experience with Symfony.
🎨 Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).
🗣️ English speaking skills for smooth async communication (written is fine, spoken is a plus).
☁️ Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
