Middle Back-end Developer (Ruby on Rails)
DRCT is an innovative IT product company, providing cutting-edge solutions in the aviation industry since 2016. Our dynamic team of 35 professionals is spread across Europe, working on impactful products in a fast-paced environment.
We're looking for a talented Back-End Developer with strong expertise in Ruby and Rails 7 to help build and maintain our suite of products, including our website, API, and extensions. In this role, you'll focus on API integrations, particularly within the airline distribution domain, developing new features, optimizing integrations, and ensuring high-performance, scalable solutions.

What you'll do:
- Feature Development:
- Design and implement new features from concept to deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Ruby on Rails 7.
- Improve product functionality and user experience through continuous development.
- API & Airline Integration:
- Integrate third-party APIs, particularly airline APIs, ensuring seamless communication.
- Maintain and enhance existing integrations, working with REST and SOAP services.
- Collaborate with airline partners to ensure accurate and efficient data handling.
- Product Improvement:
- Continuously identify and implement enhancements to improve product functionality and user experience.
- Performance, Security & Testing:
- Implement RSpec tests to maintain high code quality and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to performance, security, and scalability best practices.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Demonstrate strong self-organization, efficiency, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and project updates to stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- 2+ years of experience with Ruby and Rails 7.0, along with Ruby 3.0.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Proficiency in RSpec testing and version control tools.
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency with strong communication skills.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and deliver projects from start to finish.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with AWS, Datadog, Elasticsearch.
- Experience with alternative Ruby frameworks such as Roda, Sinatra, or Hanami.
