About the Role

About the Project

At Datasport, we serve over 500,000 athletes annually with our digital services. Our core applications include:

  • Online Registration: A user-facing website where athletes register for events.
  • Event Management (CRM): An internal system for managing and tracking event registrations.
  • MyDatasport App: A platform where athletes can view their registrations and results.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functionality of these applications, improving our QA processes, and driving high-quality releases.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the quality assurance process for assigned features and tasks.
  • Define and maintain test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and cross-browser/device testing.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and designers to identify core requirements and edge cases.
  • Identify, document, and track defects effectively.
  • Support release and hotfix testing, ensuring smooth deployments.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve software usability and performance.
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the establishment and improvement of QA processes across the team.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, and Postman.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong understanding of cross-browser and cross-device testing.
  • A user-oriented mindset, capable of identifying issues from an end-user perspective.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing B2B and B2C products.
  • Prior experience with CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and the ability to write queries.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks (e.g., Webdriver i/o, MochaJS ) or scripting languages.
  • Fluent German is a plus.
  • Basic programming skills.
