Our client is seeking a System Engineer / SRE to join their Product Teams, with a key focus on enhancing monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes. The role aims to increase system reliability and operational efficiency through proactive issue detection, observability improvements, and seamless integration of monitoring tools into daily team workflows.

🔧 Responsibilities:

• Strengthen and maintain structured monitoring and alerting systems.
• Implement and support best practices in logging, alerting, and incident response.
• Ensure non-functional requirements (NFRs) like performance, reliability, and observability are addressed effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed monitoring and incident management into day-to-day processes.

✅ Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of experience as a System Engineer, SRE, or in IT Operations.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Splunk.
• Solid understanding of logging frameworks and tools (e.g., Fluentd, Logstash, Loki).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure monitoring (CPU, memory, IOPS, etc.) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation and log parsing.
• Experience working in containerized environments (Docker) and monitoring container performance.
• Familiarity with integrating monitoring/alerting into CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of system performance, availability, and observability standards.

💡 Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and advanced CI/CD processes.
• Understanding of ITSM frameworks like ITIL and post-mortem analysis best practices.
• Experience with self-service automation tools (e.g., ChatOps, self-healing systems).
• Awareness of UX feedback loops to improve system usability.
