Research Engineer (Mathematics and Algorithms) to $5000

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and develop mathematical algorithms for navigation and sensor fusion
• Apply advanced mathematical concepts (linear algebra, statistics, optimization) to improve UAV system performance
• Stay current with emerging research and technologies in UAV navigation, computer vision, and sensor fusion
• Collaborate closely with systems and computer vision engineers to translate theoretical concepts into practical solutions
• Analyze, model, and solve complex theoretical challenges in GNSS-denied navigation

Required:

• Strong mathematical foundation (linear algebra, probability/statistics, optimization, numerical methods)
• Programming skills (Python, MATLAB) for algorithm prototyping
• Experience in algorithm development and mathematical modeling
• Ability to interpret and implement research papers and technical reports
• Familiarity with sensor fusion and estimation theory

Nice to Have:

• PhD or research-oriented Master's degree in mathematics, robotics, aerospace, or related fields
• Experience with computer vision theory and 3D reconstruction techniques
• Knowledge of UAV flight dynamics and control systems
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Experience contributing to academic publications or technical reports
