Full Stack Developer (Backend)

Location: Remote (Preferred time zone: CET +-3h)

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to join a small, fast-moving product team. You’ll be responsible for building scalable cloud services, real-time features, and integrating with third-party APIs, while working across a modern tech stack.

Tech Stack:

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Google Cloud Functions, Redis, Elasticsearch

• Other: Stripe, RevenueCat, Postmark, Uploadcare, WebSockets

• Products: Web app, browser extensions, iOS & Android apps

• Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Google Cloud Functions

• Develop low-latency APIs to support core platform features

• Implement follow/notification systems and real-time components

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party services

• Take ownership of features from design through deployment

• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform

• Participate in architecture discussions, roadmap planning, and code reviews

• Communicate proactively with the team regarding progress and blockers

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a software developer with a strong backend focus

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React

• Solid understanding of serverless architecture (ideally GCP)

• Proven experience building fast, scalable APIs

• Experience with real-time features (WebSockets or server-sent events)

• Background in building collaboration tools, activity feeds, or notification systems

• Comfortable integrating and managing third-party APIs
