Business Analyst/Product Owner

Location:Kyiv

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) / Product Owner who is eager to design and shape a digital solution that improves and transforms current adoption and foster care processes.

In this EU-funded social project, you will play a key role in aligning business and technical requirements, working closely with stakeholders, development teams, and government institutions. Together, we aim to build a meaningful product that brings clarity, efficiency, and care into the journey of family placement for children.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
• English level: B2 or higher
• Proven ability to define product vision, roadmap, and prioritize development work.
• Proficiency in requirements management, facilitation, and stakeholder communication
• Understanding of business analysis and software development methodologies
• Experience in writing User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and backlog management tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
• Knowledge of UML or BPMN notations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to structure processes and align requirements efficiently

Will be a plus:

• Experience in pre-sale and discovery phases
• Experience in working with international organizations and social initiatives
• Experience in working with government institutions or public sector projects

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Turn insights into action by defining and executing a product strategy that drives measurable impact.
• Translate complex problems into clear, actionable solutions
• Make data-driven decisions that maximize impact and sustainability.
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization based on business impact and user needs.
• Translate business needs into epic-level features, user stories, and clear acceptance criteria.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and ensure Agile best practices are followed.
• Analyze, document, and manage software requirements throughout the full project lifecycle
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, including government institutions and ministries, to gather and validate requirements
• Identify potential risks and ensure compliance with government regulations and data security policies.
• Present findings, insights, and solutions to both internal teams and external stakeholders
