Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Requirements:

  • Experience in technical leadership roles (CTO, Tech Lead, Head of Engineering).
  • English - Advanced or Fluent (the CTO must be able to communicate effectively with international clients).
  • Strong communication & leadership skills - ability to explain complex technical solutions in simple terms.
  • Deep understanding of ecommerce.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical thinking and flexibility in solving challenges.
  • Experience in building/controlling technical processes, flows, documentation
  • Leadership skills - team development, interviewing, mentoring
  • Ability to work in a multifunctional environment, prioritize
  • Experience in implementing technical standards and audits
  • Understanding of architectural patterns, CI/CD, DevOps approaches
  • Experience in creating project estimates, working with bolparks, discovery
  • Understanding of sales support processes (pre-sale technical support)
  • Knowledge of AI technologies and experience in their integration
  • Deep knowledge of web development (Magento, Shopify, Shopware)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and align the technology strategy with the company’s business goals.
  • Oversee architectural decisions and ensure best development practices.
  • Provide technical consulting to clients 
  • Participate in pre-sale/Sales meetings.
  • Assess project complexity and select the best technology stack for implementation.
  • Collaborate with development teams, providing mentorship and professional guidance.
  • Improve internal processes and DevOps practices.
  • Validation and optimization of estimates (bolparks, raffle, point estimates)
  • Monitoring of trends in the e-commerce market, integration of innovations
  • Development of new services, process automation
  • Choosing approaches to architecture, controlling code standards
  • Clarification of functionality with the client, generation of technical solutions
  • Translation of client's business requests into technical language
  • Technical recommendations for scaling/optimizing the client's business
  • Rapid response to requests from sales teams/customers
  • Long-term planning of technical development of the project
  • Implementation of new technologies and AI
  • Ensuring cybersecurity and website stability
  • Technical documentation, project audit
  • Development of the technical team: training, mentoring
  • Conducting technical interviews and the technical part of the performance review
  • Collaboration with PM, Sales, AM to coordinate technical/business solutions
  • Technical participation in the discovery phase
  • Analysis of technical risks and their minimization
  • Controlling the development of extensions as integral blocks
  • Implementation of standards on projects, technical documentation
  • Launching/controlling code reviews, tech-sharing
  • Cooperation with HR department in terms of development (grading, IDP, competency matrices)
  • Systematization of internal tools (environments, flowcharts, gifs, deployment documentation)
