Senior Business Analyst

Project Description:

The Execution BA Team works on a global strategic technology platform, Global Corporate Action Event Repository.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing vendor data feeds and internal upstream client data
• Data mapping, analysis, and transformation
• Working with SWIFT messages
• Managing data publishing to downstream clients (via Cloud, XML Reports, custom publisher)
• Defining rules, governance, audit, and compliance processes
• Ensuring data coverage, accuracy, and timeliness
• Engaging with clients and stakeholders to define product roadmaps and requirements
• Collaborating with IT, PM, and Operations teams across global locations

Responsibilities:

• Requirement Gathering: Create business and functional requirements
• Data Handling: Data modeling, mapping, mining, and transformation
• SQL Proficiency: Querying, analyzing, and troubleshooting data
• System Development: Work closely with IT teams, PMs, and operations partners
• Interface Development: Develop Web GUI / API interfaces
• Data Provider Management: Work with internal and external data vendors
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Define EPICs and user stories based on client needs
• Testing & Documentation: Support SIT, UAT, production testing, documentation, and user training

Mandatory Skills:

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong background in financial reference data and capital markets
• Advanced SQL knowledge for querying, analyzing, and troubleshooting data
• Experience in data analysis and data mapping
• Strong attention to detail and data-driven mindset
• Understanding of business process reengineering and modeling concepts
• SDLC methodologies: Waterfall, Agile (JIRA)
• Experience in testing lifecycle (SIT, UAT, and production)
• Knowledge of Data Vendor/Data Source Hierarchy for Golden Copy
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with securities indicative data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, Markit)
• Project lead experience
• Familiarity with IT project management and collaboration with development teams
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Visio
• Experience with vendor product implementation
