Technical Lead Offline

As the Technical Lead of The Charlesworth Ukraine Limited, you will provide hands-on leadership in software development and architecture while aligning local operations with the organization’s global technology strategy. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to bridge business objectives with scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Drive the technical direction for software development in Ukraine, ensuring alignment with global technology goals.
• Architect and develop scalable, microservices-based systems—primarily using .NET or Node.js —to support evolving business needs.
• Establish best practices for software development, DevOps, and infrastructure modernization.
• Ensure high performance, security, and compliance across all technical implementations.

2. Hands-On Development & Engineering Excellence

• Actively participate in coding, reviewing code, and solving complex engineering challenges.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to high coding standards.
• Work closely with product teams, architects, and developers to refine requirements and drive technical excellence.
• Continuously evaluate system performance and reliability, driving improvements that align with business goals.

3. Team & Talent Development

• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and technical excellence.
• Support hiring and onboarding of top engineering talent in Ukraine.
• Create a collaborative and inclusive environment where developers can thrive and innovate.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Change Management

• Work with global engineering leadership to integrate regional technical efforts into the broader company strategy.
• Communicate technology goals and progress to executive leadership and global teams, securing buy-in and support.
• Ensure successful delivery of key initiatives by coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables across multiple regions.
• Champion a culture of innovation, staying ahead of emerging tech trends and fostering new ideas that benefit the global organization.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience:

• Technical Leadership: 2-3+ years of proven experience leading engineering teams, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring developers.
• Software Development Expertise: 5+ years of software development experience. Deep experience in .NET or Node.js frameworks for building scalable, microservices-oriented solutions.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Database Management: Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases for enterprise-scale applications.
• Agile & CI/CD: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Security & Compliance: Awareness of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and security best practices.

Language Skills:

• Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
