Business Analyst/Product Owner (contract cooperation)

Project Description

We are looking for a talented Product Owner/Business Analyst to join our team for a three-month engagement on an exciting mixed-use real estate development project. 

 

The project includes the creation of a website and mobile application to support the development of residential, tourism, hotel, and food & beverage facilities in Al Khafji, KSA. The role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure the successful delivery of digital products that align with the strategic goals of the project.

 

This is a position for 1 project, not in-house!

 

As this is a contract-based cooperation, the social package, including benefits like sick leave, days off, vacations, accounting and necessary equipment provision, is not covered by Selecto.

 

 

Objectives of the Role 

  1. Ensures tactical and operational plan is aligned with Product strategy and long-term vision; 
  2. Ensure the development team is equipped with the necessary information and guidance to deliver high-quality products that meet business needs and stakeholder requirements; 
  3. Ensure that the solution delivered by the development team meets the acceptance criteria and satisfies stakeholder requirements; 
  4. Conduct thorough product research to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for new features.

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and other requirements-gathering sessions to elicit solution requirements; 
  2. Prepare and deliver comprehensive product research reports and summaries encompassing market analysis, competitive research, industry trends, and recommendations;
  3. Defining and prioritizing the product & team backlogs; 
  4. Translate product strategy into Epics & Stories; 
  5. Define Sprint Goals & Sprint scope; 
  6. Stay updated on market and customers needs; 
  7. Act as a liaison between the business and development teams; 
  8. Staying accessible to development to answer questions in a timely and effective manner; 
  9. Evaluate the work done by the development team and provide feedback; 
  10. Verify specifications produced by business analysts; 
  11. Advocate for business and user needs to the development team; 
  12. Organize and clarify business needs and review/produce product specifications; 
  13. Developing product requirements and solution specifications; 
  14. Communicate and simplify business requirements for the development team; 
  15. Collaborate with the development team to ensure understanding of specifications; 
  16. Identify and address any gaps in product features; 
  17. Develop user stories and acceptance criteria; 
  18. Create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog; 
  19. Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT); 
  20. Assess change requests and define solutions to achieve organizational goals; 
  21. Share the product/business vision with the development team; 
  22. Assist in defining metrics and monitor product performance for product iteration improvements; 
  23. Frequently update the overall product progress to the Product Manager and Business Teams; 
  24. Work closely with tech team to produce key deliverables; 
  25. Support the Product Manager in product strategy and roadmap; 
  26. Creates release plan in cooperation with Product Manager, Account Project Director and Technical Project Director;
  27. Acting as Product Manager/ Business Analyst backup - when required. 

 

 

Key Deliverables 

  1. Epics and User Stories that align with business needs and stakeholder requirements; 
  2. Tactical roadmap (proposal of goals & scope for releases & sprints in accordance to strategic roadmap);
  3. Prioritized Backlog;
  4. High-level acceptance criteria and assumptions for solution options; 
  5. Acceptance of implemented Stories; 
  6. Clear and concise product specifications that align with business needs and stakeholder requirements;
  7. Well-organized product backlog with prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria;
  8. Sprint scope that meets business needs and stakeholder requirements; 
  9. Successful UAT results that meet stakeholder requirements;
  10. Updated product progress reports to the Product Manager and Business Teams;
  11. Product research reports and summaries detailing market analysis, competitive research, industry trends, and recommendations
