Position overview:
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our fully remote team and play a foundational role in building our data science capabilities. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in startup environments. As one of the first hires in this area, you will organize processes, define objectives, and independently determine what needs to be done to advance our mission of delivering unbiased, data-driven employee assessments.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and lead the data science team from scratch, establishing processes, best practices, and a strong foundation for scalability.
- Independently identify priorities and define the roadmap for data science initiatives, with minimal direction.
- Analyze Business Data: Work with structured and unstructured HR-related datasets to extract actionable insights that impact workforce management decisions.
- Develop Predictive Models: Build models for employee turnover probability, churn rate, productivity trends, and other workforce-related KPIs.
- Share customer insights, develop key metrics, and explain testing results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify complex issues, simplify them, and collaborate with other teams to create scalable solutions for broader company challenges.
- Promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Develop reusable frameworks for simulations, analysis methods, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance data collection for improved accuracy and quality.
Remote work requirements:
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a Data Science position.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, Pandas, Matplotlib,TensorFlow, NLTK, XGBoost, ect).
- Expirient in using Python for data analysis as well as development of production ready scalable solutions.
- Strong SQL and noSQL (MongoDB) expertise – must be able to write complex queries, optimize performance, and work with large datasets.
- Strong skills in data modeling, statistical analysis, and algorithm development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in HRTech or workforce analytics.
- Expertise in developing AI models with biased, noizy data.
