Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our fully remote team and play a critical role in working with customer data and internal product analytics. This position will focus on building scoring and predictive models that assess company inefficiencies, workforce dynamics, and revenue impact. Additionally, the analyst will analyze product usage and user behavior to support strategic decision-making.
As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate with Data Science and Backend teams to ensure high-quality data is available for analysis and model development. You will use tools like Power BI, Looker, or other BI platforms to create dashboards and reports, while also utilizing Python for data manipulation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Gathering & Cleaning
- Collect data from multiple sources, including customer datasets, internal product usage data, revenue reports, marketing communications, and sentiment analysis.
- Clean and preprocess raw data by handling missing values, removing duplicates, and resolving inconsistencies.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity before it is used in predictive modeling and product analytics.
2. Data Exploration & Analysis
- Use statistical techniques to explore datasets, uncover trends, and identify meaningful patterns.
- Develop predictive models, such as:
- Turnover Probability Models – Assessing the likelihood of employees leaving based on historical patterns and business context.
- Client Churn Rate Models – Identifying risk factors that lead to customer churn, including engagement levels, product usage trends, and sentiment analysis.
- "What-If" Simulations – Predicting potential outcomes for workforce-related decisions, such as:
- Readiness for promotion or leadership roles
- Impact of workforce structure changes on company performance
- Business process inefficiencies that could lead to financial loss.
3. Supporting Data Science & Backend Teams
- Work closely with Data Scientists and Engineers to support backend logic and model development.
- Provide well-structured, preprocessed datasets that enhance model accuracy.
- Assist in testing and validating analytical models to ensure their business relevance and precision.
4. Dashboard & Visualization Development
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI, Looker, or other BI tools to track key business and product performance metrics.
- Create visualizations that simplify complex data and improve decision-making for stakeholders.
- Automate data pipelines to ensure real-time reporting and analytics.
5. Python for Data Manipulation & Automation
- Use Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) to clean, transform, and manipulate large datasets.
- Develop scripts for data automation and processing to support analytical workflows.
Support ad-hoc data requests by quickly extracting and processing relevant data.
Remote Work Requirements:
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
- Proven experience working with customer data, specifically HR, CRM, Financial, and Behavioral analytics.
- Hands-on experience in building scoring and predictive models.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and MongoDB for working with SQL & NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Looker, or other BI tools for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Strong Python skills for data manipulation and automation (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
- Experience working with revenue trends, marketing communications, sentiment analysis (news, customer feedback), and customer support processes.
Ability to translate business inefficiencies into measurable data-driven insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in HRTech, workforce analytics, or similar industries.
- Background in business intelligence (BI) or product analytics.
Strong understanding of data privacy and bias mitigation techniques.
