Senior Backend (LLM) Engineer

About the Role 

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing, developing, and scaling our TypeScript-based microservices, with a focus on LLM integration. You’ll work cross-functionally, tackling challenging technical problems, and contributing directly to the transformation of the industry. 

What you’ll do: 

• Design and build scalable TypeScript microservices that power the platform. 
• Develop and optimize AI-driven workflows for customer interactions through LLM integration and fine-tuning. 
• Prepare and manage datasets for LLM fine-tuning. 
• Enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability. 
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, data science) to implement seamless integrations. 
• Mentor junior engineers, helping foster a collaborative, growth-oriented culture. 

• Apply best practices for API security, data privacy, and maintainability. 

   

Your Qualifications: 

• 7+ years of backend development experience, including at least 2 years with TypeScript/Node.js. 
• In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud deployment (AWS, Heroku). 
• Strong understanding of Postgres database architecture and design. 
• Proven expertise in scalable API design and database optimization. 
• Experience in fine-tuning and integrating LLMs (ChatGPT, ClaudeAI, Llama, etc.). 
• Familiarity with preparing datasets for LLM fine-tuning. 
• Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and testable code. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced startup environment. 

• A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to mentor and learn from peers.
