Required skills:
- Strong technical background in Datacenter Operations / Systems Administration
- At least 4 years of working and administering Linux systems with deep system & networking understanding
- Experience working and administering physical servers remotely and using automation tools
- Knowledge of networking and internet technologies - e.g. HTTP/s, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, proxies, routing protocols, VLANs, etc.
- Vast experience working with and administering networking equipment - switches, routers, firewalls, etc (preferably Juniper appliances)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving
- Process-oriented and highly organized
- Excellent communication in English and great teamwork skills
Advantages:
- Programming and scripting experience - e.g. Python, Bash
- Experience with configuration management – e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet
- Experience with cloud IaaS such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and SaaS operations in general
Scope of work:
We are seeking an experienced [ SysOps / System Operations ] Engineer to join the Operations team. You will support our growing operation, network, and systems in this critical role. You will play a pivotal role in administering our internal systems, helping expand & maintain Cato’s global network and production service. In this position, you can innovate, build best practice processes, and consistently work with new ideas and technologies.

Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain & improve Cato’s ever-expanding global network of PoPs (Point-of-Presence) & data centers
- Respond to incidents in the relevant production systems, troubleshoot issues, handle RMAs, and replacement of equipment
- Create and improve the team processes and documentation
- Support & act as a focal point for all matters related to Cato’s PoP operations and other data center-related matters
