NodeJS/PHP Back-end Engineer

Our startup is an innovative sweepstakes casino platform focused on the US market. We strive to provide users with a unique gaming experience by combining gambling with interactive features and modern technologies. The product is an online slot casino where users can participate in prize draws, play various games, and win real rewards. Our platform is built based on advanced technologies and complies with all US laws.
 

Responsibilities:

• Develop a gaming platform based on a microservice infrastructure using NodeJS from scratch.
• Maintain the legacy platform written and migrate functionality to a new platform.
• Participate in automating the CI/CD process.
• Communicate with 3'd party providers to integrate external APIs.

Background:

• 5+ years of total backend software development experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript using NodeJS (3+ years)
• Proficiency in PHP  (2+ years), and knowledge of Laravel will be an advantage
• Confident in unit, E2E testing using PHPUnit/Jest/Mocha/Nock
• Experience with database management systems, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL), ORMs (PrismaORM, TypeORM, Drizzle, etc), and data migrations
• Experience with Message brokers: RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience integrating with various 3rd-party, preventing negative outcomes, and managing unexpected risks
• B2+ English proficiency, both verbal and written is required.
