What you will do:
β Set up and optimize billing processes from scratch, ensuring scalability and efficiency, aligning them with company needs and financial objectives.
β Establish and maintain strong partnerships with payment providers, banks, and external stakeholders for smooth transactions.
β Develop and document billing workflows to streamline invoicing, payment processing, and reporting.
β Integrate and oversee global payment systems, including Stripe, PayPal, and other third-party gateways.
β Ensure regulatory compliance by collaborating with legal and finance teams while implementing fraud prevention measures to minimise risks and chargebacks.
β Manage product-focused billing processes, including checkout design, full user flow from landing page to payment and product usage, as well as target audience research.
β Analyse billing data, track key metrics, decline reasons and identify trends to drive informed decision-making.
β Work closely with finance, product, and engineering teams to align billing processes with overall business goals.
β Proactively resolve billing issues to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
About you:
β 5+ years of experience in billing and product processes, including subscription-based B2C businesses.
β Proven experience in launching and managing new payment methods, acting as the owner of the process (not a technical specialist).
β Experience in utilising A/B testing to evaluate and optimise the adoption of new payment methods, ensuring seamless integration and maximising conversion rates.
β Expertise in working with global payment systems (Stripe, PayPal, etc) and ensuring seamless transaction management.
β Experience in opening a Merchant ID in Tier-1 geos or, at least, working with related regions.
β Strong business development experience, including the ability to negotiate with payment providers and optimize billing strategies for growth.
β Proven experience in tracking key payment metrics, analysing performance trends and decline reasons.
β Experience in managing payment disputes, with an ability to develop and implement dispute resolution methodologies.
β Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, effectively aligning billing operations with business objectives.
β Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners.
β Good command of English.
