What you will do:
β Define and execute the global payment strategy, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and alignment with the companyβs financial and business objectives.
β Oversee and optimise end-to-end billing operations, setting up robust processes from scratch and driving continuous improvements to maximize efficiency.
β Build and lead a high-performing payment team over time, gradually expanding the team as the business scales, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
β Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with payment providers, banks, and key industry stakeholders independently or in collaboration with a business development specialist.
β Drive innovation in payment methods and infrastructure, identifying and implementing new technologies, alternative payment solutions, and industry best practices.
β Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management, collaborating with legal, finance, and compliance teams to mitigate fraud, reduce chargebacks, and adhere to global payment regulations.
β Oversee the integration and optimization of global payment systems, including Paddle, PayPal, and other third-party payment gateways, ensuring seamless transaction processing.
β Lead the development of advanced billing workflows, streamlining invoicing, payment processing, and reporting to improve operational efficiency and financial transparency.
β Optimise product-focused payment experiences, overseeing checkout design, full user flow from landing page to payment, and data-driven improvements to enhance conversion rates.
β Leverage data analytics to drive payment performance, tracking key metrics, analysing transaction trends, and identifying opportunities to reduce payment failures and improve revenue recognition.
β Collaborate closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring payment operations support overall business objectives and contribute to company growth.
About you:
β 3+ years of experience in billing, payments, and financial operations, with a strong background in subscription-based B2C businesses.
β Proven expertise in designing and scaling billing processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and long-term scalability.
β Deep knowledge of global payment ecosystems, including experience with leading payment providers such as Paddle, PayPal, and other third-party gateways.
β Comprehensive understanding of payment infrastructure, including Merchant Accounts, Payment Gateways, Payment Processors, and key payment performance metrics.
β Strategic, data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze payment trends, optimize conversion rates, and leverage insights for informed decision-making and business expansion.
β Ability to drive innovation in payment solutions, identifying emerging trends and implementing new payment methods to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
β Proven experience in risk management and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and fraud prevention best practices.
β Business development and negotiation skills will be a huge plus.
β Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
β Good command of English, with strong professional communication skills.
