We are looking for an entrepreneurial-oriented and solution-driven Senior Operations Manager with excellent analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills to take ownership of our Ukrainian ride-hailing operations. Location: Kyiv.

About the Role

Your role will have a direct and tangible impact through continuous improvement of the driver and rider experience by strengthening Bolt’s value proposition in the marketplace by achieving industry-leading supply availability, pricing, and quality. What’s more, from a succession perspective, you’ll work closely with the General Manager. You will be involved in the definition and implementation of the strategy of the Ukrainian market & hold a key strategic position in the management of the Ukrainian team.

About You

Requirements

• 3+ years in a compatible management position – entrepreneurs, general managers, consulting managers, operations managers from product companies with a dynamic setup, etc.
• Strongly data-driven decision-making and good command of analytics tooling (Excel/Sheets + nice to have BI solutions)
• Experience in involvement in strategy projects/ go-to market projects/ business transformation/ business development and compatible
• Direct ownership of their craft – we’re looking for the doers, the hands-on approach, not for candidates that solely assign tasks/coordinate stakeholders
• Financial acumen – budgeting, P&L, etc.
• Passionate about ride-hailing or at least displaying domain-adaptability – being able to properly understand our value proposition points, to predict relevant metrics, accurately approach supply & demand-related questions, etc. – these are things we assess in business interviews
• Strong communication skills – proficiency in both Ukrainian and English (B2-C1)
• Bachelor’s Degree – no strong preference, but candidates with Finance/Economics/Business administration, etc. degrees typically display stronger numerical reasoning

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Designing and executing strategies to increase driver engagement and retention while managing a high-performing Ukrainian team, ensuring operational excellence.
• Developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders (drivers, fleet owners, unions, regulators, government officials, and local communities) to drive business growth.
• Overseeing and optimising local operational processes and procedures, while identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities to strengthen the business.
• Developing complex analytical models and reporting systems, analysing data to optimise Bolt’s marketplace health for drivers and riders in Ukraine.
• Driving growth and revenue by achieving operational milestones and ensuring active collaboration between local operations and HQ teams to meet business objectives.
• Advocating for Bolt’s brand and services while navigating regulatory matters and local policies within the transportation and tech sectors.

Salary information:

• Salary depends on each candidate’s skills, background and match.
• We may consider candidates with expectations of up to 4-6k EUR gross/month.
• Salary is paid in local currency, but calculated based on a fixed conversion rate of EUR.
